Plant Sale on Common Hosted by Beautification Committee

Mayor Kimberley Driscoll and The Salem Beautification Committee will host the first Salem Beautification Committee Plant Sale Saturday, May 17 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on the Salem Common (rain date is May 18). 

Annuals, some perennials, small azalea, hydrangea bushes and hanging baskets will be sold. Flowers by Darlene, a Salem business, will be providing the plants. 

Members of the newly formed Recycling Committee Task Force will also be selling rain barrels, composters, water conservation garden spray nozzles and recycling bins. 

Salem residents and businesses will be able to register for the citys  upcoming Window Box Competition. In addition, there will be chances to win gardening gift baskets donated by The Beautification Committee and The Salem Garden Club.

There is plenty of space in the Common for children to play while parents shop. Spring water and snacks will be available for purchase.
