John Patterson lives in Newry, Northern Ireland and this exhibit is a tribute to the city he spent a short time in and fell in love with during the early 90’s. John has a preference for painting in strong reds and blues, silhouetting a range of churches, castles, standing stones, ruins and well known buildings against a contrasting sky and with a trademark window light, and has painted 12 Salem Landmarks in his signature style for the Salem Arts Association Gallery exhibit. The exhibit will run from October 2 to November 2 in the Salem Arts Association Gallery in Salem’s Artists’ Row. Hours are Thursdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 12 Noon to 6 p.m. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
