Introduction to Drawing Workshop
In this class students will learn the fundamentals of drawing. Students will focus on composition and how to observe value. They will experiment with multiple charcoal and pencil techniques to gain an understanding and control of the media, and will begin to apply a full value range to still life studies, creating form and movement throughout the composition.

Instructor - Nicole Ryan
Nicole Ryan began her teaching career at Marblehead High School where she built Studio Arts curriculum with other educators and taught to a wide range of students. She has also taught art courses at Interlochen Center for Arts, Walnut Hill School, Marblehead Arts Association and Swampscott Council on Aging. Nicole took time off from her Studio Teaching to raise a family. She enjoys the natural beauty of the North Shore and continues to use watercolor and drawing mediums to create new work.
